nuBioAge
A high-performance WordPress transformation for a longevity science and wellness network
nuBioAge needed more than a visual refresh. The site had slow load times, confusing navigation, weak mobile performance, and a backend that took twice the effort to manage. We rebuilt the experience to improve speed, usability, search visibility, and operational efficiency. A full WordPress transformation that turned a 5.6s site into a 1.9s experience, improved engagement, and created a far easier content workflow.
A site that was holding the platform back.
Before the redesign, nuBioAge faced several growth blockers: the website loaded in 5.6 seconds, mobile users were dropping off, the navigation was difficult to follow, SEO visibility was weak, and even routine updates required too much manual effort. That combination was affecting retention, discoverability, and the team’s ability to move quickly.
nuBioAge is a longevity science and wellness education network, so the website had to do a lot at once: educate different audiences, support content discovery, handle free and paid access logic, and create a smoother path through the platform. The site also needed to support broader ecosystem functionality, including the Nucleus portal, events, masterclasses, certifications, webinars, resources, ecommerce, and role-based access for patients, providers, wholesalers, and consumers.
A full-stack WordPress transformation, not a cosmetic refresh.
We approached the project as a full-stack WordPress transformation, not a cosmetic refresh. The work centered on five areas: performance optimization, UX/UI revamp, technical SEO improvements, backend restructuring, and mobile-first refinement. The goal was to make the site faster, easier to navigate, more search-friendly, and much simpler for the team to maintain.
The most important measure was not just the initial launch – it was the sustained performance after launch. The site maintained faster load times, stronger engagement, and a noticeably easier editing workflow, which supported the long-term direction of the platform and its expanding content ecosystem.
Five areas of work: performance, UX/UI, SEO, backend, and mobile.
Performance optimization
We reduced load time through performance engineering, caching, and asset optimization.
UX/UI revamp
We reworked the content hierarchy and page structure to make the experience clearer and more conversion-friendly.
Technical SEO improvements
We also improved technical SEO by correcting metadata, schema, sitemap structure, and other foundational elements.
Backend restructuring
On the backend, we simplified the CMS workflow so updates could be managed with less effort.
Mobile-first refinement
We optimized the mobile experience to reduce drop-off.
Every part of this project was tied to measurable improvement – speed, engagement, SEO performance, and backend efficiency.
They didn’t just make it faster. They made it feel calm. The old site always felt like it was about to break. This one feels like it’ll still be here in ten years.
